Call to action #47. We call upon federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal governments to repudiate concepts used to justify European sovereignty over Indigenous peoples and lands, such as the Doctrine of Discovery and terra nullius, and to reform those laws, government policies, and litigation strategies that continue to rely on such concepts.

 

The implementation and recognition of these calls to action are essential to our existence, and we will not let over 7 thousand of our ancestors so far be uncovered for nothing. The fight will continue to the end, because without our governance system and cultural practices Indigenous people have an empty space inside us.

The Third Reich was defeated only to have another fascist government created in its place in the Middle East, Israel; for being so holy it didn’t even exist pre WWII and has been displacing the Indigenous Palestinian people for decades since the War was over. 

 

Anyone who points this out is deemed an anti-Semite, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. The truth is genocide is genocide regardless of who is committing it, and it isn’t the people it’s the governments. It isn’t the Jewish people who are segregating and attacking Palestinians just like it isn’t settlers doing that to the Indigenous people here.

The words of Kayanere’ko:wa are ingrained in all Kanyen’kehaka, no matter what has happened to them and their families throughout history. The message is strong enough to have sustained, and this is because the people have been able to implement the Law no matter what “time” they live in. It is adaptable, and the tools that were given to us can still be used to this day. In times of distress we have heard the Eagle scream, our attention was grabbed and subsequently we would have to defend ourselves and our territories. Smoke is a tool that was given to us as well and holds a spirit, whether it be to heal or to send a message.

The first historical case of a country electing a President is in the United States of America, because it was an attempt to whitewash the Kayanere’ko:wa and manipulate it to benefit the settler population. The attempt to set themselves apart from the monarchy only went so far, the need for power and to fill the space where their spirit should be had an endless craving.

The American Constitution is replicated and based on the Kayanere’ko:wa, which was federally recognized in 1988 through Congress Resolution 331.
